Free AI Tools Getting Ads
ChatGPT Free Tier May Show Ads Soon: OpenAI is preparing to introduce ads for free users; rollout expected to begin in 2026.
Claude Stays Ad‑Free (for now): Anthropic still offers a free tier with usage limits but no advertising.
Claude Comes to Microsoft; Copilot Expands Model Choice
Microsoft integrated Anthropic Claude 4 models (Sonnet 4 & Opus 4.1) into Microsoft 365 Copilot—first in the Researcher agent and Copilot Studio.
A “Try Claude” button now appears in supported Copilot interfaces. Admins may need to enable Anthropic models in tenant (work) settings.
Free Copilot Chat is now available in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote for drafting, summarizing, and analysis—no extra license required. Copilot is fluent in holding verbal conversations.
Copilot experiences also offer a “Try GPT‑5” option for higher‑reasoning or video‑generation scenarios. These “Try” buttons are available now as the deeper integration of Claude and ChatGPT are still in the works.
