Get to Know Us

As the founder of HumanU + AI, I've spent my career helping people and organizations navigate change. With over 25 years of experience as a learning and change consultant working with corporations and nonprofits, I've seen many technology adoptions come and go. But generative AI is different—it's a major evolutionary event in technology that presents both opportunities and challenges. The question is, how do we make sure its benefits reach everyone, not just those with technical backgrounds or corporate access?

The digital divide is rapidly expanding, threatening to leave more of our society behind. Large companies control AI development, while millions of people remain on the sidelines. They're uncertain, skeptical, or don't know how these tools could enhance their work and lives. The fears make sense: job displacement, privacy concerns, and yes, even those Terminator movie scenarios. But fear and misinformation don't help anyone. What people need is clear education that demystifies AI and connects it to their goals.

That's why I founded HumanU + AI with our guiding principle: "Humans and AI, learning together." Learning happens when complex concepts are built up from their components and applied to relevant applications. We don't just teach AI tools—we help people discover how AI can serve their needs. Whether that's career advancement, creative projects, small business growth, or staying informed in a changing world. Our hands-on approach, small group settings, and resource sharing reflect our belief that knowledge should be accessible and shareable.

Our vision extends beyond individual skill-building. We're building a community of informed AI users who can make decisions about technology's role in their lives and communities. By training more coaches and empowering our learners to share their knowledge, we're working to close the digital divide one person at a time. HumanU + AI and the AI Club represent our commitment to ongoing learning, peer support, and collective empowerment. Learning to use AI responsibly isn't just helpful anymore—it's essential for participating in our digital future.
